A multidisciplinary Journal in the field of Agricultural Engineering

Biosystems Engineering and Renewable Energies Journal is a peer-reviewed open-access multidisciplinary journal. Published by Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, it considers research works/articles in English that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence in all areas related to biosystems engineering and renewable energies with the ultimate goal of expanding knowledge of the subject and contributing to the existing science and literature.

The journal is published in collaboration with the Association of Iranian Society of Agricultural Machinery Engineering and Mechanization (ISAMEM). It aims to stimulate scientific research among scholars and scientists in the field of agricultural engineering all around the world and provide a forum for the exchange of information and knowledge in the field. Three types of papers are published by the journal: original research articles, review articles, and brief commentaries on previously published work. All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind reviewing process.

In the Biosystems Engineering subsection, the journal publishes research in engineering and the physical sciences that represent advances in the understanding and management of the performance of biological systems for sustainable developments in agricultural machinery, instrumentation, machine vision and machine learning, bioproduction processes, the food chain, and land use and the environment. The subject matter of the journal reflects the wide range and interdisciplinary nature of research in engineering for biological systems. Papers may report the results of experiments, modeling, theoretical analyses, data-driven findings, design of, or innovations relating to, machines and mechanization systems, processes or processing methods, equipment and constructions, experimental equipment, and laboratory and analytical techniques.

In the Renewable Energies subsection, the journal covers research in the following areas: biomass conversion, photovoltaic technology conversion, solar thermal applications, wind energy technology, desalination, solar and low energy architecture, climatology and meteorology, geothermal technology, and socio-economic and policy issues in agriculture.

Submissions should involve new engineering science insights, including novel characteristics that can advance the specific scientific field; present existing similar work in its field and discuss the advance over the state of the art offered, and illustrate the knowledge gap that the work seeks to fill. The novelty aspect is of crucial importance for the Journal. Studies that are first reports in Iran are also welcomed for publication.

The first issue of the journal is scheduled for publication in April 2025.

Volume 1, Issue 1 , April 2025, Pages 11-20

https://doi.org/10.22069/bere.2025.22943.1002

Abstract
For the HCCI experiments, four different compression ratios were used (CR9, CR10, CR11, and CR12). The intake air temperatures varied between 313 and 373 K, while the engine speed changed from 800 to 1800 rpm. Three fuel blends were used, i.e., RON20, RON40, and RON60. The RON60 indicates 60% iso-octane ...  Read More
